Project initiator Mykhailo Korylkevych took part in the 34th Economic Forum in Karpacz

Project initiator Mykhailo Korylkevych took part in the 34th Economic Forum in a panel discussion entitled “Agriculture of the 21st Century – What Does It Mean?”, which was held in Karpacz (Poland).

Important issues for the agricultural sectors of Ukraine and Poland were discussed:

1. Climate and social challenges: War and climate change are limiting production in Ukraine. It was proposed to study the lessons of this experience for the Polish agricultural sector.

2. Innovation and cooperation: With an emphasis on the role of cooperatives as drivers of innovation, participants discussed how to reduce costs through joint investments.

3. Strategy and the future: The war has highlighted the vulnerability of supply chains, and questions were raised about the resilience of agriculture to crises.

During the conference, Mykhailo met with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, local government, and small farmer cooperatives

He established cooperation with Oleksiy Kuchera, head of the State Regulatory Service of Ukraine, discussing initiatives such as:

• creating a working group to reduce barriers to the development of family farming,

• introducing a pilot “regulatory regime” for farming cooperatives,

• supporting the initiative at the interdepartmental level.

Agreements were also reached on the creation of a commission to remove restrictions on the construction of farms and feed centers, in cooperation with the head of the regulatory service and the head of the Architectural Inspection.
