Project advisors help optimize farm management processes and develop strategies to increase productivity and profitability. The advisors provide advice on the construction or reconstruction of a farm, the purchase of equipment for a dairy farm in accordance with new standards.

A farm audit by project specialists will provide an action plan to eliminate shortcomings and suggestions for increasing farm profitability.

Veterinary services

The project’s veterinarians provide a full range of services aimed at maintaining the health of cows, including:

• preventive examinations,  treatment, and rehabilitation,
• hoof cleaning,
• treatment of hoof diseases,
• artificial insemination, pregnancy monitoring, and obstetric care, etc.

Services also include assistance in purchasing cattle and identifying and registering animals.

Accounting and legal services

The project provides comprehensive legal and accounting advice to farmers, namely:

• advice on tax issues,
• support in accounting,
• registration of ownership or lease of land plots,
• obtaining construction permits,
• assistance in resolving disputes related to land relations,
• preparation of documents for obtaining budgetary subsidies.

Promotion of milk sales

The Family Dairy Farms project acts as a reliable intermediary between dairies and farmers, creating favorable conditions for both parties.
Dairies receive guarantees of stable volumes and high-quality of milk supplied by farmers.
For their part, farmers are assured of timely payment for the milk supplied and resolution of disputes with dairies, which is a key factor in maintaining the farm’s financial stability.

Sale of feed of own production

A modern feed center was built at the project’s industrial base in Zdovbytsia village, Rivne region, which produces feed from green mass grown on its land of 2000 hectares.
The Family Dairy Farms project is based on the best veterinary and zootechnical practices. The introduction of modern equipment and strict control over cultivation and production technologies guarantees optimal results.

Assistance in obtaining grants and financial aid

The Financial Platform office assists in preparing applications and writing business plans for international grants and financial assistance.
The project office specialists administer grant projects according to the law, the project plan described in the application, and the grantor’s regulations.

Consultations on setting up a craft cheese factory

Providing advice on all issues related to the construction and further operation of a craft cheese factory, namely:

• construction and sanitary requirements;
• selection of equipment and inventory;

• technological maps and production business processes;
• selection of the optimal taxation system

Growing and selling heifers

Genetics and young animals are investments in future profits generated through milk. The main goal of raising heifers is to replenish the herd with highly productive animals. To raise cattle that would fully realize the genetically inherent productivity potential, the project’s specialists create optimal feeding and housing conditions from the first days of calf rearing. The project offers both ready-made heifers for sale and services for raising farm heifers.
